Cosmographia, meaning ‘mapping the universe’.

Using drawing and projection, the still photographs of a shell are transformed into topographies. Forming landscapes is in essence, reforming their original location from my fading memories. The work merges the self with the earth and is both an exploration of personal identity, homeland and the power of place. Reforming the landscapes by hand is a form of metaphysically wandering through the terrain.
